DESCRIPTION:  

To assist in the efficient operation and growth of the Communications Department

QUALIFICATIONS:  
  1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or related field preferred
  2. Five (5) years in education setting preferred
  3. Strong graphic design skills
  4. Strong organizational and public relations skills
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  6. Excellent skills in writing, proofing and editing
  7. Ability to meet quick deadlines
  8. Ability to plan, write and prepare brochures, newsletters, district letters, agendas, presentations and press releases
  9. Strong multi-media skills
  10. Ability to shoot and produce videos
  11. Working knowledge of social media and web design
  12. Strategic planner with computer skills
  13. Innovative thinker with ideas for marketing and branding
  14. Proficient skills in related software programs, such as Adobe InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop/Premiere Pro/Audition

 

LENGTH of EMPLOYMENT:  

Probationary contract - 235 days

SALARY:  

2016-2017 Salary Range Minimum $49,582 – $59,556 Midpoint (based on previous public school experience) - Pay grade P 1 (schedule for the 2017-2018 school year has not been determined)
